Pickleball Venues Are Adding Padel: What Owners Should Know

About 30% of pickleball venues in the US already offer padel. If you run a racquet facility, this is what adding a court involves.

Why facilities are adding it

  • Padel is played in doubles, so every booking brings four players.
  • It is easy to learn, which helps fill beginner sessions.
  • US padel clubs grew 51.5% in one year, from 2024 to 2025.

What you need

  • Playing area66 × 33 ft (20 × 10 m)
  • BaseLevel concrete slab
  • Indoor clear heightAt least 20 ft (6 m)
  • PowerFor LED lighting

Indoor or outdoor

Padel works in both. Indoor courts need enough clear height above the playing area. Outdoor courts need a structure built to resist corrosion, which is why our courts use hot-dip galvanized steel as standard.

How to start

  1. Measure your available space, including access around the court.
  2. Check local permit requirements for your city or county.
  3. Choose a court model and decide between buying and renting.
